Accelerate Future
Accelerate future
Led by University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN), Accelerate Future HEI project brings together twelve European partners to develop and implement acceleration services. Partners are embarking on a journey to collaboratively gain an understanding of the higher education status quo and desired future state, develop a roadmap and subsequently implement and support programs of change for HEIs through expert coaching, training and peer learning in a network that will sustain far beyond the scope of the project.
As part of the project, the “Acceleration partners” will work together with two existing HEI consortia as part of the European University Alliance and EIT HEI Innovation Capacity Building initiatives to design the methodology for acceleration services, which the HEI partners will test through developing and implementing institutional transformation projects. Not only will the project directly benefit the acceleration of the involved HEIs, but it will also further provide key learnings and policy recommendations to support the acceleration of entrepreneurial and innovative HEIs across Europe.
Accelerate Future HEI is funded under the Horizon Europe programme, the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation. The Horizon Europe programme facilitates collaboration and strengthens the impact of research and innovation in developing, supporting and implementing EU policies while tackling global challenges. Moreover, it supports the creation and better diffusion of excellent knowledge and technologies.

aUPaEU
aUPaEU
Through aUPaEU – A University Partnership for Acceleration of European Universities – the consortium aims to revive the spirit of the agora by fostering collaborative environments that empower stakeholders. This project brings together five academic institutions from EPiCUR and Unite!, European alliances under the European Universities Initiative, to create a shared space for knowledge exchange and capacity sharing.
The core of the aUPaEU vision is to enable integrated, shared and long-term research and innovation transformations. To achieve this, the project will provide methodologies, sustainability plans, coaching services and tangible digital technologies using an acceleration agora. This collaborative approach ensures that all participants can contribute their expertise and benefit from the collective knowledge and resources.
aUPaEU seeks to facilitate breakthroughs, promote innovation and create an ecosystem where creativity can flourish. By supporting research and innovation initiatives, project partners envision a future where Europe’s potential is fully realised and its global competitiveness strengthened.
Join the aUPaEU project and embrace the spirit of the ancient agora to drive research and innovation forward. Together, a future of collaborative excellence and transformative progress can be shaped, making Europe a powerhouse of knowledge and ingenuity.

GILL project
GILL project
The GILL project develops a pan-European collaboration and learning hub as a one-stop-shop for tools, methods, and knowledge to reduce gender barriers in innovation and entrepreneurship, by enabling the transformation of individual, team and educational practices. Nurturing the environment and skills needed to support Gender Responsive Smart Innovation and Entrepreneurship, GILL contributes to the creation of a fairer Open Innovation Ecosystem. By applying the co-creation approach and principles of the Living Labs ecosystems, along with the user-centered design and citizen’s science, GILL aims to fix the culture and practices by developing and testing 15 Action-Oriented Experimentations (pilots) in 8 European Countries: Italy, the UK, Spain, Greece, Romania,

PATTERN
PATTERN
PATTERN is a 3,5-year project funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme. The project promotes Open and Responsible Research and Innovation (Open RRI) by delivering training for researchers across Europe. PATTERN develops, tests and refines training modules covering key areas like Open Access, FAIR Data Management, Citizen Science, Research Integrity, Gender and Inclusion, Science Communication and Leadership. The initial efforts of the project were focused on mapping over 500 training opportunities, highlighting current trends and gaps to better serve researchers and supporting Open RRI integration in the European Research Area (ERA). Have a look at the report here! If you prefer to have specific summaries of the report based on the key areas, have a look at our booklets here.
All training modules and resources are made available on PATTERN Platform, whether you are a student, a teacher or a researcher at any stage of your career, the platform will provide you with a wide and valuable set of courses and resources to explore the numerous fields of Open RRI.
Last but not least, PATTERN analyses Open RRI also from a policy perspective. On our website you can access PATTERN State-of-the-art Analysis: mapping of the policy landscape for learning opportunities for researchers on open and responsible research and innovation and the first Policy brief highlighting identified policy gaps and recommendations.

ERA TALENT
ERA TALENT
ERA TALENT is a Coordination and Support action funded under Horizon Europe and aims to enhance support to career development for researchers in Europe, building on the services of the EURAXESS network. Composed by 34 EURAXESS BHO partners, the project will establish five thematic hubs (Startup Hub, Research Career Beyond Academia, Research Careers in Academia, Supporting Talent Circulation, Science 4 Refugees Hub) to provide specialized support services and six communities of practice to foster information exchange and strengthen talent management across academia, industry, and business sectors.

REINFORCING
REINFORCING
The REINFORCING project crash course focused on aligning research and innovation (R&I) with societal needs through stakeholder engagement. Participants explored strategies to identify societal needs, conduct stakeholder mapping, and prioritize involvement. The session emphasized inclusive engagement to amplify diverse voices throughout the innovation cycle. Practical outreach methods were shared to ensure meaningful and impactful engagement at every stage. Designed for researchers, innovators, and R&I professionals, the workshop offered tools and actionable insights to collaborate effectively with the right audiences for more inclusive and impactful outcomes.
